Personal Reflection Course Packet

7 Sessions • Private study workbook for individual reflection, prayer, and growth.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

Psalm 139:23-24 KJV

Important: Before You Begin

  • • This workbook is for private, personal reflection — not forced confession.
  • • This is not crisis counseling. It does not replace pastoral care or professional support.
  • • If you are experiencing danger, abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or severe distress — stop and seek immediate qualified help.
  • • Completion of this course does not prove salvation. Only God knows the heart.

Session 1

Who Am I in Christ?

Establish identity in Christ as the foundation of all spiritual growth and response.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. How do you currently describe your identity — by past failures, family background, or what Christ says about you?

2. What 'old things' have most challenged you since you began following Christ?

3. What does it mean practically that you are a 'new creature' — not just forgiven, but transformed?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to reveal how He sees you and to correct any identity built on something other than Christ.

Handle With Care

Identity wounds can run deep. This is personal reflection — not public disclosure. Take what you need and leave the rest.

Session 2

What Is Regeneration?

Understand the nature of the new birth — not just moral improvement but spiritual transformation.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

John 3:3 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. What was your understanding of the new birth before beginning this path?

2. What is the difference between being religious and being regenerated?

3. How does regeneration affect the way you make decisions day to day?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to deepen your understanding of what He has done in you — not just what you decided.

Handle With Care

Uncertainty about one's new birth is common. This is not a test — it is an invitation to honest reflection with God.

Session 3

Repentance, Grace, and Faith

Understand the three pillars of the gospel response and how they work together.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. Have you ever confused repentance with self-punishment? What is the difference?

2. What does it mean that grace is a gift — and how does that change how you relate to God?

3. Where do you tend to trust in works or personal effort rather than resting in grace?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to show you where religion or performance may have crept in where grace should rest.

Handle With Care

Guilt and shame are common here. This reflection is not meant to condemn — it is meant to bring freedom. If shame is overwhelming, speak with a pastor.

Session 4

The Old Man and the New Man

Examine the ongoing conflict between the old nature and the new creation in daily life.

"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

Romans 6:6 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. Where do you most clearly see the 'old man' rising in your daily responses?

2. What patterns of reaction in your life seem inconsistent with who you believe you are in Christ?

3. What does 'reckoning yourself dead to sin' look like in a practical moment of temptation?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to make you more aware of the old nature's patterns — not to condemn, but to grow.

Handle With Care

If specific sinful patterns have led to serious harm, this reflection is not a substitute for counseling, accountability, or pastoral care.

Session 5

Fruit of the Spirit and Heart Response

Explore how the fruit of the Spirit manifests in real life pressure situations.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. Which fruit of the Spirit do you find most present in your life? Which is most absent?

2. When you are under pressure, what does your response reveal about what you are trusting?

3. What is the difference between performing the fruit of the Spirit and producing it through abiding?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to show you what is truly producing your responses — and to cultivate His fruit in you from the inside out.

Handle With Care

Fruit is not manufactured by effort. If you feel exhausted by spiritual performance, this is worth exploring with a pastor.

Session 6

Conviction, Condemnation, and Forgiveness

Learn to distinguish between the Holy Spirit's conviction and the enemy's condemnation.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Romans 8:1 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. How do you personally distinguish between conviction that leads to repentance and condemnation that leads to shame?

2. Is there anything you have repented of that you continue to punish yourself for?

3. What would it look like to receive forgiveness fully — not just intellectually, but in your daily experience?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to show you clearly what is from His Spirit and what is from the accuser — and to help you rest in His forgiveness.

Handle With Care

Persistent self-condemnation or shame spirals may require professional support. This platform is not a substitute for pastoral counseling or therapy.

Session 7

Evidence of New Life

Reflect on the visible and invisible signs of spiritual transformation in your life.

"Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

Matthew 7:20 KJV

Recommended Platform Pages

Reflection Questions

1. What evidence of new life do you see most clearly in yourself — even if it's small?

2. How has your response to difficult people or situations changed since you began walking with Christ?

3. What is one area where you still see the most room for transformation — and are you willing to bring it to God?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to show you the real evidence of His work in your life — and to continue what He has begun.

Handle With Care

Comparison with others is not the measure of growth. Scripture, the Spirit, and honest community are the proper reference points.
