When Fear Tries to Rule You
Fear, faith, control, courage, and trusting God when the future feels uncertain.
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
Learning Objectives
You'll Recognize
When fear of the future, failure, or the unknown begins to rule decisions and when the heart's trust is tested by uncertainty.
This Exposes
The flesh's need for control; the false belief that anxiety can prevent bad outcomes; and the resistance to trusting God with what cannot be controlled.
Born-Again Response
That fear is human, not a sign of weak faith; that 2 Timothy 1:7 promises a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind — not the absence of fear; and that faith-filled prayer and wise counsel are the path through fear, not around it.

Scripture Anchor
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV — God has not given us the spirit of fear. Psalm 56:3 KJV — When I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
"Fear rises inside you. It may be fear of failure, rejection, loss, danger, the future, or what people think. Your mind begins to imagine outcomes that have not happened. The flesh wants control, panic, avoidance, or hiding. But Scripture calls the born-again believer to bring fear under God's truth and walk by faith."
What Happened
Fear rose in the face of uncertainty — imagining outcomes that have not happened.
Why This Pressures
Fear exposes where the heart is anchored. When trust in God is not the foundation, fear becomes the ruler.
Spiritual Issue Exposed
